Our Story
Welcome to Battunga Orchards — where every tree has a story, every season brings a new challenge, and every Apple is grown with passion and pride.
The Battunga Orchards Journey started at Hoddles Creek in 1971 moving from the urban sprawl of Wantirna and embracing the serenity of the beautiful Yarra Valley.
Battunga, What does it mean?
An indigenous name meaning "Place of Large Tree"
Battunga Orchards is now a large-scale, fourth-generation family-owned commercial fruit operation spanning across West Gippsland, the Yarra Valley, Thorpdale and the Goulburn Valley in Victoria, Australia. All our crops are hail netted and grown on high density Trellis systems.
We supply premium-grade Apples, Pears, and Lemons to major wholesale markets and independent grocers.
Our area under production is approximately 190Ha.
Battunga Orchards is more than just an Apple Orchard - it is a place where passion, innovation and generations of knowledge come together to grow exceptional fruit.
